Role Description The Educator role at Kiddie Academy in Murfreesboro, TN is a full-time, on-site position responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing lessons aligned with the Life Essentials® curriculum, facilitating age-appropriate activities, and supporting children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. The Educator will observe and document child progress, maintain open communication with families about classroom activities and child milestones, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality care. Additional duties include maintaining classroom organization and cleanliness, following all health and safety procedures, and participating in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and child development, with experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
- Demonstrated Teaching and Lesson Planning skills, including the ability to design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
- Experience in Training or mentoring peers or support staff within an educational or child care setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Ability to meet state and local child care licensing requirements, including background checks and health clearances.
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple classroom responsibilities while maintaining a nurturing environment.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and align with Kiddie Academy’s curriculum and standards.
