What are the responsibilities and job description for the Two-Year-Old Teacher position at Kiddie Academy of Winter Park?
Kiddie Academy of Winter Park is currently hiring a Full-Time Toddler Teacher / Two-Year-Old Teacher to join our early childhood education team. We are looking for a nurturing, energetic educator who is passionate about supporting toddlers during an important stage of development.
Our teachers create a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment where young children build independence, social skills, and curiosity through developmentally appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a warm, safe, and engaging toddler classroom environment
- Implement daily lesson plans aligned with Kiddie Academy curriculum
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Guide behavior using positive discipline and consistent routines
- Maintain daily communication with families regarding children's progress
- Ensure compliance with Florida DCF licensing regulations and health & safety standards
- Collaborate with teaching team and leadership to support classroom success
- Complete daily classroom documentation, observations, and reports
Qualifications
- Full-time availability Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 45 DCF Training Hours completed (required)
- CDA (Child Development Associate) or ECE coursework preferred
- Experience working with toddlers or in a childcare / daycare setting preferred
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with young children
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Must pass background screening and meet Florida state licensing requirements
