Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social skills tailored for 3-year-olds.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence through engaging activities and play-based learning.
- Manage classroom routines effectively, including circle time, snack time, outdoor play, nap schedules, and transition activities.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior, address conflicts constructively, and promote social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns through regular updates and parent-teacher conferences.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, child assessments, developmental progress, and standardized testing results as required by curriculum standards.
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and safety protocols while maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, Montessori methods, or other educational approaches to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential; experience specifically with toddlers is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
