Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, foster developmental growth, and create a nurturing environment for our youngest learners. Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging curriculum tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning
- Lead daily classroom routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and play sessions with enthusiasm and patience
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns in a clear and compassionate manner
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of child development observations and incident reports
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes early childhood development principles such as Montessori or other educational philosophies
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and ongoing professional development
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, especially with toddlers
- Strong knowledge of child development instruction and age-appropriate activities
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and childhood welfare practices
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration
- Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is required
- Experience with preschool teaching methods such as Montessori or standardized testing approaches is a plus
- Ability to implement inclusive teaching strategies that support diverse learning needs
