Kid’s First Inc. Childcare is a licensed, high-quality childcare program serving children ages 6 weeks–12 years in Layton. We are passionate about supporting working families by providing a safe, fun, and positive learning environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic, dependable School-Age Teacher to join our team and lead engaging before- and after-school programming for our school-age students.
About the Role
As a School-Age Teacher, you’ll help children start and end their day feeling supported, confident, and excited to learn. You’ll create a welcoming environment that blends structure with fun—homework support, games, enrichment activities, and meaningful connections.
What You’ll Do
- Provide before- and after-school care for school-age children
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture focused on teamwork and respect
- Support social-emotional learning and positive behavior guidance
- Offer homework help and quiet academic time
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, activities, and enrichment experiences
- Safely transport children to and from school using a company vehicle
- Serve breakfast and afternoon snacks/meals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom
- Communicate clearly and professionally with families and team members
What We’re Looking For
- 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience with school-age children in a licensed program (preferred)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organization skills
- Ability to plan engaging, structured activities
- Willingness to work as part of a supportive, collaborative team
- Ability to pass a background check and meet Utah Child Care Licensing requirements
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain upon hire)
