Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum development tailored to diverse age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers
- Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior management strategies and promoting a respectful learning environment
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that enhance childhood development, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori-based lessons
- Provide hands-on toddler care and support early intervention efforts to address individual learning needs
- Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment in accordance with childcare standards and child welfare guidelines
- Contribute to lesson planning by preparing educational materials and activities aligned with standardized testing benchmarks when applicable
- Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt instruction for children with special education needs or those requiring additional support in daycare or private school settings
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including classroom experience in preschool or daycare settings
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies
- Experience working with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, with an understanding of childhood development stages
- Ability to manage classroom behavior using positive techniques and behavior management strategies
