What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT Cocktail Server position at KICKAPOO CASINO SHAWNEE?
Job Purpose: Responsible for selling and serving cocktails to customers in the casino.
Essential Functions:
- Accurately take cocktail and food orders and serving to customers in a timely manner.
- Relays orders to Bartender and/or Kitchen staff.
- Responsible for making change out of issued banks.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages.
- Keeps assigned area clean at all times.
- Professional appearance (well-groomed)
- Provide a friendly and courteous customer service.
- Performs other duties and projects as required by management
Working Conditions:
- Typical of that in a busy casino with heavy cigarette smoke accompanied with a variety of competing noises and communications.
- Flexible hours (weekends, nights, holidays).
Physical Requirements:
- Walking or standing for long periods of time; Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing and visual acuity.
- Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Occasional lifting (up to 75 lbs).
- Be able to reach, bend and stoop.
- Ability to organize and coordinate multi tasks.
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:
- Must have a High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have basic math skills and cash handling skills
- Must have very good communication and written skills.
- ABLE Liquor License. Receipt will serve as a license for 30 days.
- Food Handlers permit within 30 days from date of hire.
- Ability to work any shifts, start time, weekends, and holidays.
- Documents that establish both Identity and Employment Eligibility.
- Kickapoo Tribal Gaming License.
