What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista - Signature Gourmet Coffee Shop position at Kiawah Island Golf Resort?
Position Summary: Provide quality service in all aspects of the Signature Gourmet Coffee Shop. Follow established side work guidelines to exact specifications. Organize and maintain station and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion that meets manager’s expectations. Communicate with team to complete a successful shift. Maintain and contribute to a positive work environment.
Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay for this position is $13.00 per hour plus tips.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, coworkers, and management to their understanding.
- Point of Sales system (Agilisys or other) / Foodservice experience preferred.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
- Properly follow all processes that are in place.
- Properly rotate all food and drink products in stock.
- Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and resort requirements.
- Contribute to the growth and success of the team.
- Communicate effectively between FOH and BOH.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through with assigned tasks.
- Ability to be a clear thinker, remains calm, and resolves problems using good judgment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to keep a clean, neat, and organized work environment.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- 100% - Stands during shift.
- 75% - reaches, bends, and stoops frequently.
- 75% -Verbally communicates with guests and phone.
- 20% - Carries 20-40lbs. (20 – 30 feet) about 10 times per shift.
