Production Coordinator-Production Coordination
Ensures daily operation of upholstery department/cells to meet all production and shipping demands established by the Operations Manager. Reviews and develops training and cross training needs for their area. Evaluates and communicates needs for equipment, personnel, materials, etc to the Operations Manager.
Ensure daily operation of cells/departments
- Create and implement methods to ensure profitability, efficiency, quality, on-time and improvement initiatives
- Review and develop training and cross training needs within cells/department.
- Recommend training needs to Operations Manager and H. R. Manager
- Monitor and direct cell/department performance, needs, requirements and concerns
- Ensure all reports and documentation are completed timely
- Review and approve Kronos for each employee weekly
- Enable technicians to submit at least one near miss or kaizen suggestion annually
- Counsel and implement improvement goals for technicians
- Knowledge of BPCS
Ensure quality:
- Ensure quality standard is met. Evaluate quality issues and determine root cause and recommend or implement preventative measure.
- Ensure all personnel within cell/department are familiar with and meet our quality policy and quality standards.
- Accept and perform other tasks and assist in other departments
Safety:
- Ensure work areas are clean and orderly
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, policies or rules
- Continuously monitor for safety/environmental issues and resolve immediately
- Ensure all technicians have and utilize appropriate PPE
