Union Payroll
Experience: Requires two (2) years related experience with union payroll. Knowledge of multi state payroll processes.
Skills: Proven ability to maintain payroll files and the ability to create and establish various reports for the department. A good math/accounting aptitude. High attention to detail, aptitude for learning new things and must be able to work under pressure.
Physical: Includes sitting, standing, reaching, walking; use of hands, arms, legs, and feet. Must be able to see and hear (with mechanical assistance if necessary) sufficient to understand and comprehend individual one-on-one con- versations.
Communication: Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and positively with employees.
Computer: Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with payroll systems preferred.

Union Payroll
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll.
- Draft and distribute payroll holiday calendar, notices, and other memorandums.
- Input employee union 401k elected deferrals into payroll system.
- Implement new union rates and update in payroll system.
- Prepare and submit monthly/weekly union reports and maintain union files.
- Prepare and submit monthly union hour reporting.
- Request, scan and save monthly status letters for each active union.
- Coordinate and participate in field union audits.
- Complete Annual Nevada Wage Surveys.
- Prepare and submit weekly Certified Payroll reports and any associated restitution payments.
- Oversees all Job Start meeting efforts.
- Upload and review certified payroll compliance paperwork via web-based applications including pay rates, fringe benefit statements, employer training contributions, and apprenticeship paperwork, review for reasonableness, correctness, and compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Sends correspondence for missing documents and requests revised documentation from operations.
- Monitor DIR wage determinations for rate/fringe changes.
- Partner with Operations and continuously make improvements to work processes and practices.
- Reviews current state and federal labor laws pertaining to Prevailing wage requirements.
- Complete weekly upload of 401k contributions, loan payments, and HSA contributions.
- Process non-union personnel weekly payroll.
- Process non-union employment separations.
- Train field support, as needed.
- Assist and distribute payroll procedures manual.
- Provide support to payroll team, as needed for backup.
- Attend payroll and labor compliance seminars/educational training programs, as required.
- Perform any other related or unrelated, unassigned, unspecified duty that may be needed from time to time.
