RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Java Developer in Jersey City, NJ.
Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of enterprise applications
* Collaborate with business analysts, engineers, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver cloud- and container-based solutions
* Develop clean, testable Java code and maintain unit and integration tests
* Support performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution, including root-cause analysis
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuously improve engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines, and compliance alignment
REQUIREMENTS:
* 4-6 years of software engineering experience; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Hands-on experience building enterprise Java applications
* Solid knowledge of Spring (Boot, Data JPA, Kafka) and Maven
* Experience with Kafka or other message-driven architectures
* Understanding of application security, scalability, and resilient system design
* Experience with Redis for caching and performance optimization
* Working knowledge of PostgreSQL/Aurora PostgreSQL and Liquibase
* Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
* Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
* Agile/Scrum experience using tools like Jira
* Strong problem-solving skills, collaboration, and eagerness to learn new technologies
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
