UKG HCM Functional Analyst

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a UKG HCM Functional Analyst in New York, NY. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day delivery of UKG HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, and Payroll services, ensuring operational excellence and service quality
• Monitor and improve SLAs/KPIs related to payroll accuracy, timeliness, incident management, backlog reduction, and service performance
• Oversee payroll operations, including validations, reconciliations, off-cycle processing, and issue resolution
• Act as the escalation lead for complex payroll and HR systems issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Manage system configurations, workflows, security, testing, releases, and change management activities
• Support benefits administration, compensation transactions, and compliance with organizational policies and audit requirements
• Coordinate UKG integrations with ERP and finance systems, ensuring data integrity and successful interface management
• Maintain compliance with payroll regulations, internal controls, and data privacy/security standards
• Develop operational reporting, analyze trends, and implement service improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience
• Lead vendor transitions, knowledge transfers, process documentation, stabilization efforts, and hypercare activities
• Drive process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives to improve accuracy and reduce operational costs
• Partner with HR, Payroll, and Finance leadership through governance reviews, risk management, and strategic recommendations
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members while managing capacity, onboarding, and performance
  
  

Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience across HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, and/or Compensation support, with increasing ownership of delivery and stakeholder management
• Strong functional experience with UKG (formerly Kronos) or similar HCM/payroll platforms, including payroll processing and upstream/downstream process impacts
• Proven experience in SLA-driven managed services environments, including governance, reporting, and continuous improvement execution
• Strong understanding of hire-to-retire HR lifecycle and HR shared services operations
• Knowledge of payroll processing, controls, reconciliations, and statutory compliance concepts
• Familiarity with benefits administration and compensation frameworks
• Expertise leading HR-Payroll-Finance integrations and data flow troubleshooting (interfaces, reconciliations, error handling, dependency management)
• Strong knowledge of data privacy/security and access controls for sensitive HR data (PII/PHI)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to translate functional issues into business risks and action plans
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting UKG HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, and Payroll in a managed services environment
• Experience leading transitions, knowledge transfers, and service stabilization efforts
• Healthcare or other regulated industry experience preferred
• Knowledge of ERP integrations, payroll-to-GL processes, and financial controls
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, and ITIL-based service management practices
• Understanding of workforce management and timekeeping systems and their impact on payroll
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement capabilities
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
