Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Snowflake and modern data engineering best practices
- Architect and optimize Snowflake data models, including schema design, data clustering, performance tuning, and cost optimization
- Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, product teams, and business stakeholders to convert clear requirements into robust data engineering solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data accuracy, performance, and pipeline reliability
- Contribute to architectural decisions, development standards, and overall platform strategy
- Work independently on complex tasks while also contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- 7 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or related fields
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Snowflake SQL, Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Warehouses, RBAC, Clustering, and Performance Optimization
- Strong expertise in SQL, modern ETL/ELT frameworks, and data pipeline development
- Experience in building and maintaining enterprise Data Lakes and/or Data Warehouses
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory and/or Airflow
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing principles, and distributed data systems
- Proven ability to work independently, owning end-to-end solutions from requirement to deployment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking
- Ability to translate ambiguous or evolving requirements into structured technical solutions
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor junior engineers
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and quality
- SnowPro certification(s) a plus
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workloads
- Knowledge of Delta Lake, Databricks, Spark, or other big data processing frameworks
- Background in enterprise data platforms with high volumes and strict SLAs
- Experience implementing data governance, metadata management, and quality frameworks
