This role operates at the team, program, and enterprise level, partnering across Product, Engineering, UX, and Architecture to drive execution, optimize flow, and support scaled Agile practices. Responsibilities include:
- Proactively anticipate risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges before they become issues
- Coach teams and leadership on Agile principles, execution, and decision-making
- Prepare teams for PI Planning, Pre-PI Planning, and in-quarter execution
- Drive readiness across backlogs, dependencies, risks, and capacity planning
- Support ART-level ceremonies including ART Sync, Scrum of Scrums, and PO Sync
- Identify, track, and manage inter-team and cross-ART dependencies
- Facilitate alignment across Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering stakeholders
- Maintain visibility into program risks and impediments; escalate with clear options and impacts
- Design and maintain Jira dashboards, filters, and reports for teams and leadership
- Optimize workflows, boards, and issue hierarchies to improve delivery flow
- Ensure data integrity to support accurate metrics and reporting
- Translate Jira data into actionable insights for teams and leadership
- Promote Agile and Lean best practices focused on flow, predictability, and quality
- Facilitate retrospectives that drive measurable and trackable improvements
- Mentor Scrum Masters and contribute to Agile communities of practice
- Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering leaders
- Communicate program status, risks, and delivery confidence to leadership
- Balance delivery commitments with sustainable pace and quality
- SAFe certification (SSM, SASM, RTE, SPC) or equivalent experience preferred
- 8 years of experience as a Scrum Master in complex enterprise environments
- Proven experience working within Scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe or similar)
- Strong expertise in inter-team dependency management and cross-team coordination
- Advanced Jira skills including dashboards, JQL, workflows, and reporting
- Experience preparing teams for PI Planning and program-level execution
- Strong understanding of Agile metrics such as flow, predictability, WIP, and throughput
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills
- Experience supporting multiple teams or an Agile Release Train (ART)
