Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Knowledge Graph Architect in Nashville, TN. Core Responsibilities: Enterprise Knowledge Graph Architecture:
- Design the enterprise knowledge-graph architecture across business, technical, semantic, analytical, and AI-facing domains
- Define the target-state knowledge-graph architecture
- Select the appropriate graph foundation: RDF graph, property graph, or hybrid RDF/property-graph architecture
- Define the canonical entity, relationship, event, attribute, provenance, and metadata model
- Establish graph partitioning, named graph, dataset, tenancy, security, lifecycle, and versioning strategy
- Design graph APIs, query services, semantic services, and downstream integration points
- Define architecture patterns for AI agents, GraphRAG, semantic search, data cataloging, lineage, inference, and analytics
- Own the enterprise semantic model and ensure that business concepts are represented consistently across systems
- Design ontologies using RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS, SHACL, and related semantic standards
- Define classes, subclasses, object properties, data properties, constraints, hierarchies, mappings, and equivalence relationships
- Build semantic models that support business definitions, metrics, dimensions, lineage, policy, provenance, and data-governance requirements
- Establish ontology modularization patterns by domain, such as customer, supplier, contract, asset, product, risk, transaction, clinical, regulatory, or research domain
- Define ontology versioning, approval, change-control, release, and rollback procedures
- Translate business terminology into machine-readable semantic models that can be queried and reasoned over
- Build semantic mappings between source systems and the graph layer
The candidate should have experience with at least one of the following, with ability to compare and select platforms objectively:

- Neo4j Cypher, property-graph modeling, APOC, Graph Data Science, neosemantics/n10s, RDF import/export, graph algorithms, Aura or Enterprise deployment
- TigerGrap, Amazon Neptune RDF/SPARQL, Gremlin, openCypher, AWS networking/security, bulk loading, graph query performance, RDF dataset design
- GraphDB RDF repository design, SPARQL, GraphDB Workbench, inference rulesets, OWL2-RL/QL, SHACL validation, semantic search integration
- Stardog SPARQL, virtual graphs, reasoning, rules, data virtualization, semantic layer, knowledge catalog, enterprise graph governance
- AllegroGraph RDF, SPARQL 1.1, triplestore architecture, reasoning, neuro-symbolic AI patterns, graph-vector or AI integration use cases
