Summary: The Platform Architect defines the target-state platform architecture across Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS, ensuring interoperability, security, governance, and production-grade readiness across all migration workloads. Summary: The Platform Architect defines the target-state platform architecture across Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS, ensuring interoperability, security, governance, and production-grade readiness across all migration workloads. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the target-state platform architecture across Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS
- Lead the Architectural Integrity Review (M1) and establish the ADR baseline
- Ensure interoperability across platform layers, ingestion services, and downstream consumers
- Design and enforce security zones, access controls, HA/DR patterns, and CI/CD integration
- Define guardrails for schema standards, naming conventions, performance, and cost optimization
- Oversee Unity Catalog and Snowflake Horizon metadata, classification, lineage, and data contracts
- Partner with Databricks and Snowflake leads to ensure pattern consistency across all waves
- 10 years of experience as a data or cloud architect supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
- Deep expertise across Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS services
- Strong background in data governance, security design, and platform scalability
- Experience designing Lakehouse architectures for AI and analytics consumption
- Medallion Architecture
- Data solution and platform architecture
- Snowflake and Databricks platform design
- AWS services and cloud infrastructure
- Security, governance, and metadata frameworks
