Kforce has a client in Earth City, MO that is seeking a North America Contract Accounting Manager. Job Summary: Reporting to the North America Senior Manager, Accounting, the North America Contract Accounting Manager is responsible for operating expense, transportation and certain commercial accounts of the North America (-NA-) Global Pet Care (-GPC-) and Global Home Care (-GHC-) business units, to include, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Company's financial results, and ensure that reported results are timely and comply with U.S. GAAP, local and regional requirements, legal mandates, and internal policies and controls. Duties:

Duties:
- Responsible for the timely, accurate, and complete month-end close process for operating expense, transportation, distribution, and certain commercial expenses and components of inventory accounts of the NA GPC and GHC business units
- Preparation, review, and approval of journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies and SOX controls
- Ensure financial reporting internal controls compliance over inventory, operating expense, transportation and certain commercial accounts
- Document certain GPC Canada and GHC distribution center inventory controls
- Responsible for complete and accurate freight accounting
- Collaboration with Supply Chain Finance, Asia Transportation Office, and Logistics to ensure accuracy of freight accruals
- Review and oversight of 3PL distribution invoice reconciliations
- Ensure solutions to business challenges are implemented
- Proactively partner with BU Operations Finance to foster strong collaboration
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA preferred
- 5 years related experience required
- Sense of urgency, speed, action, and courage
- Owns results; Embraces responsibility and accountability; Creates clear, obvious, and visible value for colleagues
- Skilled at building collaborative and productive engagement with all levels in the organization, all divisions, all regions, all other functions
- Excellent working knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of SAP highly preferred
- Manufacturing experience highly preferred
