Kforce is looking for a Network Engineer II for a partially onsite, direct hire opportunity in Kansas City, MO. Summary: The role of the Network Engineer II is to ensure the operational stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Engineer will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links.

Requirements
- 10 years of experience of work experience in a multi-site, multi-organization configuration in the capacity of a senior or lead network engineer
- Ability to convey ideas clearly and communicate effectively with stakeholders and management
- Demonstrated leadership in driving a culture of continuous network improvement and Innovation
- Knowledge of current IT network Infrastructure protocols and standards, including OSI, and ITIL
- Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
- Excellent knowledge of telephony systems
- Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
- Hands-on experience designing and managing high-availability configurations, including load balancers and fault-tolerant systems supporting mission-critical infrastructure
- Experience with telephony systems, and diagnostic tools for voice and data circuits, with a track record of resolving complex issues and improving service reliability
- Strong understanding of global data privacy regulations and practices, with experience embedding compliance into infrastructure design and operational workflows
- LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation
- Network segmentation using VLANs, ACLs, and other technologies
- Firewall management, including management of rules, & VPN tunnels
- Provisioning, managing, and supporting network aspects of Hybrid Cloud environments
- Cybersecurity awareness, security response, and routine network patching processes
- Application & Server network support experience with Microsoft technologies
- Bandwidth shaping, policing, and prioritization using tagged traffic
- Load Balancers and high availability configurations
- Extensive knowledge of various LAN and WAN routing protocols

Salary : $93,500 - $126,500
