- Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain complex financial models to project future performance, assess potential investments, and forecast operational expenses (e.g., staffing, medical supplies)
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation, execution, and review of annual operating and capital budgets
- Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly variance analyses by comparing actual financial results with plans and forecasts, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions
- Revenue Cycle Support: Analyze diverse sets of clinical and financial data-including accounts receivable, billing trends, and denial management-to identify opportunities for revenue optimization
- Data Visualization: Translate large, complex datasets into easy-to-understand executive summaries, graphs, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders
- Decision Support: Partner with department managers to evaluate the financial impact of operational changes, new service lines, or regulatory shifts
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive financial analysis or FP&A experience, ideally within a hospital, healthcare system, or managed care environment
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, financial modeling). Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle, CorralData, Claude) is a strong plus
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to work cross-functionally with clinical staff and communicate complex financial concepts effectively
