Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Platform Engineer in Utah County, UT. Summary: The client is seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to support enterprise data operations, governance workflows, and automation within a Snowflake-based environment. This role requires strong technical depth, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to act as the central point of contact for data access, governance, and platform optimization. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to guide stakeholders toward proper data practices. Primary Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to guide stakeholders toward proper data practices. Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Snowflake expert, managing nuanced, in-depth, and enterprise-level data platform tasks
- Develop, modify, and optimize code (SQL, Python, JavaScript) to automate repetitive processes and improve operational efficiency
- Own and manage a large volume of data access and governance requests, assessing each request within the broader enterprise context
- Ensure data distribution aligns with governance processes by validating data ownership, access permissions, and compliance considerations
- Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail when working across complex systems, workflows, and dependencies
- Educate and support stakeholders across the organization, ensuring clarity around data processes, best practices, and governance policies
- Confidently challenge or validate requests when necessary, balancing policy, security, and business needs while maintaining a people-focused approach
- Contribute to continuous improvement across data workflows, documentation, and automation initiatives
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related technical field-or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong proficiency in Snowflake, capable of handling deep and detailed platform administration tasks
- Experience in automation and optimization, including SQL, Python, and JavaScript development
- Ability to manage high volumes of administrative and governance-related tasks, serving as the primary contact for data requests
- Strong detail orientation, ensuring accuracy across complex systems and workflows
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with diverse technical and non-technical audiences
- Confidence to appropriately challenge requests, while maintaining professionalism and a collaborative, people-oriented approach
