This is a high-visibility role offering the opportunity to join a stable, well-established organization and take ownership of a broad and impactful scope of responsibilities. About the Role: As Controller, you will oversee a team of five and manage all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and cash management. You will play a key role in driving financial excellence while partnering with leadership and external advisors. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and develop a team of 5 accounting professionals
- Implement and improve accounting processes and controls
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial data
- Financial reporting
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Cash management
- Annual audit
- Tax-related matters
- Join a successful, long-standing NYC real estate firm
- Broad exposure across accounting, finance, and operations
- Leadership role with meaningful team oversight
- Opportunity to make an immediate impact
- Succession Plan to CFO
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required); CPA a plus
- 12 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong background in real estate accounting (residential highly preferred)
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with MRI preferred

Salary : $190,000 - $240,000
