Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a growing organization, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its finance and accounting function while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership. This hybrid role located in the Quincy, MA area offers the opportunity to influence business strategy, drive financial performance, and support continued growth in a dynamic, project-driven environment. • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial and operational strategy
• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term growth initiatives
• Evaluate capital investments, expansion opportunities, and operational improvement efforts
• Deliver financial insights that support informed decision-making and sustainable growth
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, and forecasting functions
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP standards
• Manage cash flow, working capital, liquidity planning, and banking relationships
• Lead project accounting and financial oversight, including job costing, revenue recognition, forecasting, backlog reporting, and profitability analysis
• Monitor project performance and strengthen financial controls across the business
• Partner with operational leaders to improve visibility into financial and project outcomes
• Mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Establish scalable processes and infrastructure to support future growth
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required
• 10 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility
• CPA, MBA, or other advanced financial certification preferred
• Proven experience leading financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, treasury, and financial reporting functions
• Experience supporting project-based, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or related industries preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and corporate governance
• Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership to drive strategic growth and operational performance
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
• Experience overseeing project accounting, job costing, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis is highly desirable
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
