Kforce has a client that is seeking a Financial Analyst in Columbia, MD. Summary: We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead expense budgeting, forecasting, and governance initiatives. This role partners with cross-functional leaders to drive cost discipline, deliver actionable financial insights, and support strategic investment decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and strengthen accountability across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Analyst will lead development and management of operating expense budgets and forecasts
- Ensure projections are accurate, forward-looking, and aligned with strategic priorities
- Establish and enforce expense governance standards, financial policies, and spending controls
- Deliver expense reporting, variance analysis, and performance insights to leadership
- Partner with cost center leaders to explain variances and recommend corrective actions
- Evaluate business cases for headcount, discretionary spending, and strategic investments
- Apply financial rigor and benchmarking to assess ROI and investment alignment
- As a Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with Division leaders, IT, Procurement, Legal, and Finance to support decision-making
- Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives across the organization
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5 years of experience in FP&A, expense management, or cost governance
- Experience influencing stakeholders and supporting decision-making
- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- MBA or advanced financial certification (CFA, CPA) preferred
- Experience with financial planning systems (Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights)
