Kforce's client, a growing manufacturing company based in Farmingdale, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with a strong emphasis on Accounts Receivable. This role is critical to ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and clean financial reporting. The position works closely with local operations while reporting into a corporate finance entity, offering both exposure and career growth within a larger organization. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable (Primary Focus):

This role is critical to ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and clean financial reporting. The position works closely with local operations while reporting into a corporate finance entity, offering both exposure and career growth within a larger organization. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable (Primary Focus):
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, cash application, collections, and dispute resolution
- Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and timely based on sales orders, shipping documentation, and contracts
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up with customers to ensure prompt payment
- Investigate and resolve short payments, chargebacks, deductions, and billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate AR records and customer account reconciliations
- Coordinate with sales, customer service, and corporate finance to address billing or credit issues
- Post and reconcile daily cash receipts
- Assist with month-end close activities related to AR
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Support audits by providing AR documentation and explanations as needed
- Assist with other bookkeeping functions (AP, journal entries, reporting) as required
- Prepare AR reports and metrics for corporate accounting and management
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and internal controls
- Communicate regularly with the corporate finance team to support consolidated reporting
- 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience with heavy Accounts Receivable responsibility
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of AR processes, collections best practices, and reconciliations
- Experience working with an ERP or accounting system (manufacturing ERP a plus)
- Strong Excel skills; Comfortable with spreadsheets and reporting
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with both local and corporate teams
