Kforce has a client in Germantown, MD that is seeking an AP Staff Accountant. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Process journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and assistance
- Assist in budget preparation and expense tracking
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Prepare tax filings and other regulatory reports as needed
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
