Role: HVAC Technician

Location: California

Pay: $30-$50/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial and Industrial HVAC Technicians to join our team. This role involves performing installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems across various commercial and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, field service experience and familiarity with HVAC systems. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal operation of HVAC equipment, troubleshooting complex systems and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Install, service and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity.
• Troubleshoot electrical components using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
• Repair plumbing related to HVAC systems and ensure proper operation of associated mechanical components.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed.
• Assist with commercial maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems when necessary.
• Operate various tools land machinery safely in accordance with safety protocols.
• Safely drive a company-provided truck.
• This role will oversee, teach and manager other technicians in the field.

Skills:

• Proven experience as a service technician in commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC/R principles, schematics and design concepts.
• Mechanical knowledge with HVAC systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for troubleshooting and installation purposes.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of construction processes related to HVAC system installation or upgrades.
• Maintain a clean and professional demeanor as well as keeping your vehicle, tools and appearance clean always.
• Able to pass background and drug screening.
• Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to work well with others and manage a team of technicians when needed.

Experience:

• 3 Years HVAC experience required

Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid Driver’s License
• EPA Universal Certification
• NATE Certification (preferred)
