Overview

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems.
- Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, and fans.
- Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations regarding HVAC installations.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining issues and solutions clearly to clients.
- Collaborate with other technicians and contractors on construction projects as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC design and refrigeration systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and pressure gauges.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC installations.
- Experience in field service roles with a focus on appliance repair and property maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Welding skills for equipment repairs may be beneficial.
- Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable.
