Responsibilities- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Record and update patient information accurately in the electronic health record
- Measure and document vital signs and other basic clinical information as directed
- Assist providers during patient visits and minor procedures
- Support scheduling, patient check-in, and follow-up communications
- Answer phones, route messages, and provide courteous assistance to patients and visitors
- Maintain clean, organized, and stocked exam rooms and clinical work areas
- Handle routine administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and managing forms
- Adhere to safety, privacy, and confidentiality standards at all times
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the care team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or relevant experience preferred
- Certification or registration as a medical assistant may be preferred or required depending on location
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and time-management abilities
- Ability to maintain professionalism, accuracy, and patient confidentiality
- Comfort using computers and electronic health record systems
- Experience working in a clinic, physician office, urgent care, or other healthcare setting
- Knowledge of front office and back office clinical workflows
