What are the responsibilities and job description for the Susquehanna Service Dogs - Kennel Technician position at Keystone Human Services?
The Kennel Technician position maintains the kennel and surrounding areas, provides for the daily care and feeding of the dogs, and implements and supports consistent dog training approaches.
Position Details/Benefits:
- $15.00 per hour, may increase based on education and experience
- Casual/Per Diem
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of professional or educational experience caring for animals
- At least one year year of experience working in customer service or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of animal behavior and care
- Basic understanding of positive reinforcement training
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Basic computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and learn web based systems
- Valid driver’s license and daily access to privately maintained and insured vehicle
- Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, Child Abuse and FBI clearances
