Position Title: Speech and Language Pathologist (S.L.P.)Classification: ExemptPosition Type: Full time (185 day position)Salary Schedule: Teacher/Therapist Salary Schedule*Probationary Period: 90 daysReports To: Supervising Therapist/Program AdministratorSummary/Objective:The Speech and Language Therapist will function as an integral member of educational teams providing directservice, consultation and evaluations to a range of students with special education needs. Therapists will carry a caseload as assigned by the Educational Team Leader and Supervising Therapist in conjunction with othertherapy team members and/or local school districts. Therapists will provide services in an integrated manner utilizing 1:1, small group and large group settings and may work in separate classrooms or in integrated settingsas appropriate to the student caseload.Essential Functions/Duties:
- To provide clinical speech and language services to students.
- To provide evaluations and reports.
- To participate in team meetings.
- Provide consultation to teachers and staff.
- To model appropriate techniques and strategies.
- Maintain and improve professional competence.
- To work with families.
- To maintain appropriate records.
- To assist in the development of in-service training programs.
- To work with members of the educational team to develop appropriate goals and objectives for each student.
- Implement Keystone policies and procedures.
- Ensure student confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned by Program Supervisor.
