Dental Practice Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dental Practice Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a busy dental clinic. This role is vital in ensuring the practice runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining exceptional patient care. Duties

• Oversee all aspects of clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction
• Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, billing, coding, and insurance claims processing using systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks
• Supervise administrative and clinical staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of medical records and patient information
• Coordinate with clinical teams to support medical management activities and ensure adherence to healthcare standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements
• Oversee medical administrative support functions including EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, and other healthcare IT platforms like Epic or eClinicalWorks
• Monitor clinic performance metrics related to utilization management, managed care contracts, and quality assurance programs
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of dental procedures in accordance with legal standards
• Facilitate communication between patients, insurance providers, vendors, and clinical staff to promote seamless operations

Experience

• Proven experience in medical office management within a dental or healthcare setting with a strong background in practice management
• Extensive knowledge of dental office procedures combined with familiarity in medical terminology and hospital or acute care environments
• Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing administrative or clinical teams in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks is highly preferred
• Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial analysis, billing practices, and revenue cycle management
• Experience in human resources functions such as staffing, training, compliance with employment laws, and conflict resolution
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO standards for quality assurance
• Background in managing medical records securely while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality across multiple platforms
