Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to support water, municipal, and transportation projects from planning through design and construction. This role is ideal for a civil or environmental engineer who excels in both independent and collaborative project work and is ready to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects.

Position Overview

As a key project team member, you will:

• Provide civil engineering services including planning, design, reports, specifications, construction observation, and project management
• Communicate consistently with Project Managers and Senior Engineers, providing updates throughout all project phases
• Develop project plans, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation
• Serve as the Resident Project Representative (RPR) during construction and act as the owner’s on-site representative
• Work closely with engineering technicians and junior team members to develop project deliverables
• Attend client meetings, internal meetings, and contribute to proposal preparation
• Participate in business development activities with increased responsibility over time
• Follow all company CADD procedures, safety standards, and policies
• Travel as needed, with overtime expected during construction season

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 6–12 months
• Five or more years of civil or environmental engineering experience
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley Open Roads Designer, MicroStation, ARCMap GIS, or similar tools is a plus
• Experience with stormwater systems, pump stations, equipment sizing, calculations, design drawings, and municipal/urban utility design is preferred
• Valid driver's license required
