Job Title: Excavator Operator

Job Summary:
Operate excavators safely and efficiently to perform excavation, trenching, grading, loading, demolition, and other earthmoving tasks while following safety regulations and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and drainage systems.
• Load and move soil, rocks, and construction materials.
• Perform grading, leveling, and site preparation work.
• Carry out routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Report equipment defects and arrange repairs when necessary.
• Follow site plans, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
• Adhere to workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Work closely with site supervisors, engineers, and ground workers.
• Ensure the work area is safe before and during machine operation.
• Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid excavator operator certification or license (where required).
• Proven experience operating excavators in construction or related industries.
• Knowledge of excavation techniques and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read site plans and follow technical instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.
