Among the programs and services, we provide are Outpatient Mental Health Centers, Adult and Child Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs, School-Based Therapy, Community Outreach, and Residential Services.
Who We Need:
We are currently looking for full-time Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor to join our Dundalk team.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• The RRP Rehabilitation Counselor is responsible for the comprehensive services offered through on-site and off-site programs.
• This includes assessment, case management, psycho education, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community liaison.
• The Rehab. Counselor is also responsible of for the timely and accurate completion of all documentation such as treatment plans and progress notes.
• Staff is responsible for medication monitoring and education to support self dosing of medication.
• Staff is responsible for teaching community skills including ADL’s as needed in both individual and group settings.
• A Rehab. Counselor assists in scheduling clients’ appointments, both mental and physical.
• A Rehab Counselor will assist in the transportation of clients between residences, office, and community locations as needed.
• A Rehab. Counselor is responsible for maintaining their level of skill by completing the required 20 hours per year of training.
• In addition, each employee is expected to abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility.
• The Rehab. Counselor is responsible for carrying out the mission, philosophy of care and policies of Key Point.

SUPERVISION AND COORDINATION OF SERVICES
The Rehabilitation Counselor reports directly to their immediate supervisor and/or the Program Director. The Rehab. Counselor coordinates with other professionals within the agency as well as outside agencies to create an interdisciplinary team approach and other assigned duties. The employee abides by the ethics set forth by the agency and the profession as a whole.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The RRP Rehab. Counselor works in a combination of office and community settings, including individuals’ residences. The RRP Rehab Counselor will not be required to work in adverse conditions which may include dangerous levels of heat, cold, light, or noise, or if they feel that the proposed environment is in any way detrimental to his/her health. The position may require repetitive use of computer, keyboard, and mouse. Position requires driving of 15 passenger vans.
TRAVEL
The RRP Rehab. Counselor is expected to travel locally between the office, client’s residences, and community settings. The RRP Rehab. Counselor is not expected to travel out of state.

Qualifications
DESIRABLE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• The rehabilitation Counselor should have either experience or education related to the population with whom they shall work.
• The employee should have knowledge of the DSM and relevant symptoms of the most common diagnosis within the PRP programs.
• The rehab. Counselor will be able to demonstrate proficiency in assessments, treatment planning, advocacy skills and case management skills.
• The employee demonstrates the ability to express themselves well through writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• They will demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally diverse and/or special needs population while maintaining patient confidentially.
Education and Experience:
• Mental Health Associate with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. (One year to one year exchange)
