Duties
- Deliver freshly prepared food from the kitchen to guests promptly, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations, and seat patrons efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating and garnishing under the guidance of culinary staff to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and inviting throughout service hours.
- Handle order taking accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, process payments including cash handling, and provide receipts to guests.
- Support beverage preparation including basic barista skills or drink service as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service and guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as host/hostess, server, busser, or catering assistant is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including order taking, serving, dishwashing, and food handling procedures.
- Knowledge of POS systems (e.g., Aloha POS or Micros POS) along with cash handling experience is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide excellent guest services and maintain positive guest relations.
- Experience with food safety protocols, dietary accommodations, and basic culinary skills such as knife handling or meat cutting is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Hospitality or hotel experience can be beneficial for understanding guest expectations and delivering exceptional service.
