The Bartender plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at Kewadin Casinos. Reporting to the Lead Bartender, this position is responsible for welcoming and serving guests with food and drink in a courteous and timely manner while maintaining clean and stocked work areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mixes and serves drinks and food items to meet guests' expectations.
- Ensures compliance with age verification requirements for alcohol purchases.
- Maintains a fully stocked bar and prepares it for service.
- Cleans work and bar areas throughout shifts and ensures readiness for the next shift.
- Avoids serving minors or intoxicated individuals.
- Follows T.I.P.'s guidelines for serving guests professionally.
- Rotates inventory to ensure fresh products are sold.
Additional Duties:
- Processes cash transactions and reconciles them to the point of sale system.
- Completes other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
This role demands medium physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 pounds maximum and frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 pounds.
Constant standing, walking, pushing/pulling, hearing, smell, near/midrange/far vision, depth perception, and color/field of vision are required. Frequent carrying/lifting, stooping, reaching, manual handling, typing, and bending occur, while occasional sitting, climbing, kneeling, and crawling may be necessary.
Working conditions include constant exposure to noise and air quality, frequent exposure to extreme heat/cold and dimly lit conditions, and occasional exposure to weather, wet/humidity, and vibration.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working as a bartender or in the food service or customer service field is advantageous.
- Knowledge of customer service standards is essential.
- Excellent appearance and personality are required.
- Basic math skills and adaptability are necessary.
- Ability to work in high-stress environments, handle difficult situations, communicate effectively, and establish effective working relationships with supervisor personnel, coworkers, and the general public.
