Role Description The Paralegal will support the firm’s personal injury practice by assisting with case management and legal documentation on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining client files, drafting and preparing legal documents, and conducting factual and legal research to support case strategy. The role also involves reviewing medical and legal records, communicating with clients, insurance carriers, and other parties, and coordinating deadlines, hearings, and trial preparations. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Duluth, GA, working closely with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient and accurate case handling.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Law and personal injury procedures, including familiarity with civil litigation and case management.
- Strong Legal Document Preparation skills, including drafting demands, pleadings, discovery requests, correspondence, and settlement documents.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, courts, and third parties in a professional manner.
- Proficiency in Research and Document Review, including analyzing records, identifying key facts, and summarizing information for attorney review.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Comfort with legal practice management software, document management tools, and standard office applications.
- Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience in a personal injury or litigation setting preferred.
