Keville Enterprises, Inc., a growing Construction Management Consulting and Inspection firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator with a strong emphasis on electrical systems to join our construction management consulting and inspection team. This position plays a critical role in supporting owners' representative services for a diverse portfolio of public infrastructure projects, including transit systems, bridges, highways, tunnels, airports, ports, water/wastewater facilities and buildings.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in electrical systems estimating (Power Distribution Systems [high, medium and low voltage], Railroad Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS), DC Traction Power, Railroad Signals, Communications Systems [data networks , public address, Wi-Fi distribution, fiber networks] , Safety and Security Systems [ fire alarm, CCTV, access control], Process Controls and Instrumentation), with the ability to develop accurate and independent cost estimates across all phases of design and construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop independent cost estimates (ICE) at various design stages (conceptual, preliminary, final).
- Prepare and review cost estimates for change orders and claims analysis.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to validate cost assumptions.
- Utilize estimating software (Sage Estimating or similar) to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry pricing, labor rates, and market trends.
- Provide expert input on risk assessment and value engineering opportunities
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Proven record of accomplishment with infrastructure projects (transit, bridges, highways, rail).
- Ability to develop independent cost estimates and analyze change orders and claims.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (required).
- Must be highly proficient in the use of laptop and desktop computers
- Must have demonstrated exceptional proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Sage Estimating or HCSS Heavy Bid Software is highly desirable.
- Must have experience in reading construction plans and specifications and developing the crews, equipment, and production rates required to build a project
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Must have a positive attitude, calm demeanor, and work well with others.
- Must be fluent in the English language, have excellent writing skills, and have excellent oral communication skills.
- AACE certification (Certified Estimating Professional or similar) is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with construction management consulting practices.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local infrastructure project requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
