About the Role
Your main station will be board flashing: loading our software onto circuit boards before they go into the finished product. It's more approachable than it sounds, and we'll teach you every step.
Because we're a small team, you won't always be at one station. When your station is caught up or waiting on an earlier step, you'll pitch in elsewhere on the floor. If you like staying busy and learning how the whole operation runs, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Be Doing
Board flashing (your main station): Connect each board to our programming tool, run the software, confirm it passed. Green light, on to the next one.
Logging results: We use a program called Odoo to record what's been flashed and what's ready to ship. Never used it? We'll teach you.
Printing labels: Print the correct product and shipping labels and apply them neatly to approved units.
Quick team messages: We use Slack to stay in sync across the floor and with our New York office. Short, clear messages, nothing fancy.
Helping other stations: Jump in around the floor when your station is caught up, testing, assembly, packing, wherever we need a hand.
Keeping your space tidy: Keep your station organized, clean, and safe.
What We're Looking For
Careful and consistent: You run the same steps the same way every time and catch small problems, like a board that won't pass or a label that printed wrong. (This matters. Our boards go into life-safety products.)
Comfortable with a computer: Not an expert, just able to type and willing to learn a new program with our help.
Reliable: You show up on time and keep the day moving.
Independent once trained: You're happy to run your station on your own.
Physically able: Comfortable standing at a workstation. Can occasionally lift a box up to 50 lbs (rare).
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:15 AM to 5:15 PM, including a paid 30-minute lunch (12:00 to 12:30) and a paid 15-minute break at 3:00.
Pay: $17/hr to start, increasing to $18/hr next year.
