What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weighmaster Guard position at Kern Energy?
Kern is hiring a Weighmaster Guard who will check in trucks, record the weights of incoming trucks, and ensure trucks are in compliance with company and legal regulations. The qualified applicant will interact with truck drivers and contractors entering and exiting the facility and perform the role of collecting samples from trucks containing various petroleum products. It also involves monitoring the site for security risks and taking appropriate action when necessary. Job Function
- Operate weighing equipment and software to accurately measure the weight of inbound and outbound vehicles such as valves and gates; starts and stop pumps, engines, and electric motors to control and adjust flow and treatment processes; perform routine maintenance work.
- Ensure that all vehicles are properly identified and documented before weighing
- Collects samples and perform routine laboratory tests and analyses.
- Maintains shift log and records data required
- Completes structured and documented shift turnover
- Review daily notes and complete tasks assigned
- Check the condition of all vehicles before allowing them to enter or exit the refinery
- Verify that all vehicles follow safety and compliance regulations and have appropriate permits and documentation
- Safely complete work without incident (unsafe work, spills, or releases)
- Monitor the site for security risks and report any suspicious activity or safety hazards to appropriate personnel
- Maintain accurate records of all weighing activity and submit reports as required
- Provide excellent customer service to all drivers and visitors to the refinery
- Assists in the supervision and training of less experienced employees
- Notify supervisory/appropriate personnel of any incidents
Knowledge Skills

Education/ Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3 years of related experience operating weighing equipment and software
