What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Administrator position at Kern Asphalt Paving & Sealing Co., Inc.?
Payroll Administrator needed to process weekly payroll. Prevailing wage payroll experience and QuickBooks is a must. Will process DAS 140, DAS 142, CAC Training Fund Contributions and prevailing wage reports to LCP Tracker and DIR. Knowledgeable with labor compliance; state and federal.
Pay payroll liabilities, process 941 returns, DE6 reports, W-2 forms, W-3 forms, 940 returns.
Will assure payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, 401k deductions, garnishments, changes in job titles, salary increases, departments and transfers.
Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Some HR duties will include EDD responses and appeals, new hire processing, benefit administration, maintain personnel records, vacation time, sick time, garnishments, reclassifications, written warnings, and certified payroll records.
