St. Vincent’s Catholic School, in Keokuk, Iowa, seeks an enthusiastic part-time music teacher for our Kindergarten-5th grade students. The ideal candidate will: Foster an environment for music appreciation; have strong classroom management (and social-emotional learning) skills; develop a program where students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences which include singing, moving to music, playing instruments, and singing at school Masses. Additionally, applicants should have an appropriate Iowa Teaching license, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Keokuk Catholic Schools serves approximately 90 students in preschool through grade five, with 18 staff members. KCS is the only state-accredited, faith-based educational setting in Keokuk, IA.
