Bring your skills to the 2025 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Kenworth Sales Company, a 38-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a District New Truck Manager (East) to join our team.
Job Summary: The primary function of the District New Truck Manager is to oversee the New Truck Sales Department for assigned dealerships within Kenworth Sales Company (East). S/he accomplishehes sales objectives by measuring, planning, implementing, coaching, and managing the activities of the New Truck Sales Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes the potential for new truck sales within AOR while taking into account current market conditions, economic indicators, and customer base. Strategically aligns customer accounts to sales representatives, with regards to AOR, customer service, and Company goals.
- Works with District Managers to generate annual business plan(s) designed to achieve unit sales, gross sales, gross profit, and net profit targets. Compares monthly financial statements to business plan and recommends course of action to improve or remedy departmental performance.
- Supervises new truck inventory levels and customer ordered vehicles (RO29) within established parameters and AOR. Ensures stock truck inventory levels are appropriate, maintained, displayed and merchandised in a professional manner.
- Creates a positive sales culture to achieve goals: assists in hiring, training, and retention of sales personnel. Meets with the sales team regularly to review performance, pending sales, prospecting, marketing strategy, profit margins, and related issues. S/he will establish sales goals and hold the sales team accountable for performance. Will assist District Managers with annual performance reviews at a minimum.
- The District New Truck Manager will travel within his/her AOR on a regular basis assisting the sales team, assessing current customer base, identifying target markets and opportunities, and meeting with customers to foster customer relations. S/he will keep the sales team up to date on current issues and strategies by conducting regular sales meetings, implementing proper advertising campaigns, sales promotions, and ensuring positive customer service strategies.
- Works with the Regional Sales Manager, Corporate Sales Director, and COO to foster positive business relationships with factory sales representatives; ensuring factory programs and quotas are met (when applicable). S/he will work closely with other KWS Sales Managers and District Managers towards attainment of Company-wide goals.
- S/he will work closely with the F&I team to support increased market penetration in the finance department: ensuring all qualified leads are submitted to KWS F&I.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions and information. High school diploma or the equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Five years of commercial truck sales, and/or sales management experience. Excellent communication and supervisory skills. Professional personal appearance.
