JOB SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Building Maintenance/Janitor is the general maintenance and cleaning of Building and outside lot.
** Due to federally mandated DOT regulations, Kenworth Sales Company is a drug-free workplace. Any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screening.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean all exposed filing cabinets, bookcases, shelves
- Clean and sanitize telephones
- Clean and sanitize desk tops
- Clean reception lobby
- Empty all waste receptacles & replace liners as needed including shop.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas
- Clean, sanitize, polish all vitreous fixtures
- Clean all glass and mirrors
- Refill all dispensers to normal limits
- Sweep, damp mop, and sanitize hard floor
- Clean and sanitize all sinks and sink fixtures
- Remove dust and cobwebs from ceiling areas and window seals
- Keep kitchens clean including microwaves and coffee pots
- Once a month clean exterior and interior windows
- Pressure wash building as needed
- Building maintenance as needed (light bulbs, paint touch ups, etc.)
- Keep parking area and landscaping free of debris
- When not cleaning, maintenance person will be back up for the shipping and receiving department as well as running errands for the Service Department
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Computer literate
- Clearly legible handwriting.
- Experience in Janitorial and general maintenance work.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This position is physically demanding.
- Employee will climb stairs, climb in and out of vehicles, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees and customers.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis as well as heavier loads with forklifts and /or additional assistance will be required.
- Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non hazardous materials.
