Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Apartment Manager to lead our residential community operations. Responsibilities
- Manage leasing processes, including lease or rental agreement management, tenant screening, and onboarding to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to ensure all units and common areas are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulations.
- Utilize property management tools such as Rent Manager Express to track leasing data, rent payments, maintenance requests, and resident information efficiently.
- Handle client communication with professionalism, addressing resident inquiries, conflict management issues, and service requests promptly.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant law, Section 8 programs, and other legal requirements.
- Conduct regular team management activities including training staff on office procedures, conflict resolution, customer service excellence, and upselling opportunities.
- Prepare budgets, financial reports, and manage rent collections while maintaining accurate data entry and filing records.
- Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and customer service to foster positive relationships with residents and prospects.
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of property leasing and tenant relations.
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or Rent Manager is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, and related legal frameworks.
- Experience managing teams within a property management company or similar environment is essential.
- Strong background in budgeting, contract negotiation, conflict management, customer service excellence, and facilities oversight.
- Office experience including data entry, filing systems like CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, and client relationship management skills are required.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
