What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler position at Kenton Nursing & Rehab Center?
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Completes schedule for the nursing staff.
2. Completes daily staffing sheets.
3. Interacts with employees to cover daily staffing requirements.
4. Secures coverage for vacant shifts, open positions, vacations, as dictated by the Director of Nursing.
5. Prepares and completes daily nursing hours report for Executive Director.
6. Calculate nursing hours daily to meet PPD requirements.
7. Maintains a log of the daily PPD and month to date PPD.
8. May be responsible for bi-weekly payroll accuracy verification for the Payroll Coordinator.
9. Records employee attendance and communicates with the Director of Nursing when issues arise.
10. Shares employee vacation requests with the Director of Nursing.
11. Maintains and updates employee’s telephone list.
12. Demonstrate respect and compassion in every interaction.
13. Conduct oneself with the highest degree of honesty and integrity in every interaction.
14. Perform all other duties, as assigned.
Will perform any other duties that is necessary within the scope of the job description.
Candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. STNA license required.
Minimum (1) one year of experience in a similar position, in a long term or other medical setting.
