Title: Dishwasher
Reports to: Food Service Manager
Schedule/travel: Full-time (10 months or 12 months) position. The schedule will be Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (includes a ½ hour unpaid lunch period). Additional hours may be required. Schedule may vary according to the Department and Kent School needs.

Position Summary:
Dishwasher will work to ensure the kitchen is kept well stocked with clean, sanitary dishware and cooking equipment.

Work the “load” end of the dish machine during service, loading dirty dishes and pans into the dish machine.
- Monitor station during service for sanitation and cleanliness.
- Assist with afternoon prep after restocking for next day’s service.
- Sweep the dining room and servery after lunch, spot mop as needed.
- Recommend changes to improve efficiencies.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment based on Federal, State, and Local regulations; FIFO.
- Ensure all items are labeled for identification (i.e., spray bottles).
- Ownership of the station’s storage areas.
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to communicate with coworkers in a constructive and positive manner.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively.
- Able to work independently and make sound decisions with flexibility/adaptability, and have a calm demeanor.
- Contribute to team effort by supporting other stations as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires employees to be on their feet for extended periods and to climb stairs.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug test.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
- Work is performed on a smoke-free campus.
