Summary
The Program Manager ensures successful business operations by prioritizing safety, project execution, contractual obligations, and financial performance to deliver optimal services to customers while maintaining profitability.
Essential Functions
- Manage customer contracts by ensuring compliance, accurate billing, and strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate with the Business Unit Director to improve financial performance, analyze reports, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Provide direction to Lead Project Managers, ensure customer requirements are understood, remove project management obstacles, and support development planning and execution.
- Cultivate and strengthen customer relationships, both new and existing.
- Establish and lead the Constructability team, develop processes and tools, align capabilities with customer needs, and provide training.
- Ensure accurate capture of required hours and alignment with business unit strategy.
- Provide insights on project margins and risks to executive leadership for successful job proposal submissions.
- Attend and conduct weekly team huddles with leadership, peers, and direct reports.
- Attend weekly planning meetings for Business Unit groups.
- Participate in internal and customer project update calls.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising teams within a program management environment with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies including PMBOK, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Waterfall, and Lean Six Sigma.
- Proficiency with project management software such as Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, or equivalent tools.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data collection, analysis techniques like SAS or data visualization tools for informed decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective presentation delivery and stakeholder engagement across diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability in requirements analysis, scope management, risk mitigation strategies, and cost control measures.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and IT infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Organizational prowess in process mapping, process management, contract negotiations, and project scheduling to ensure seamless program execution.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree specializing in business administration, construction management or another relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of project/program management experience or a combination of relevant experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite of products; specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, and execute tasks on competing projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various parties.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail, ensure precision and accuracy in all tasks and deliverables.
- Ability to identify issues and utilize effective problem-solving skills to design solutions.
- Effective time management skills, optimize productivity and meet project deadlines.
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills to analyze complex problems, break them down into manageable components, and formulate effective solutions.
- Ability to remain agile in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
