Part StraightenerMonday – Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm The Part Straightener will be responsible for inspecting and straightening metal parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Functions:

- Manually straighten parts; round out ends or remove surface blemishes (e.g., scratches, gouges, nicks, dents), using shop aid blocks, hammers, sandpaper, as required.
- Reading, comprehending, and ability to follow work order instructions.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Work in an efficient and timely manner.
- Keep work area clean at all times, including machine surfaces.
- Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of bend lines, or dimensions and tolerances; Ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications.
- Document work and maintain accurate records.
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Ability to identify potential issues with machinery, parts, or process.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply basic mathematical skills to the work environment.
- Ability to identify, organize, estimate, and recognize differences or similarities with excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge or experience working in an inclusive work environment, particularly those persons with disabilities.
- Skill in prioritizing and managing a fast-paced work environment.
- Currently able to speak, read and write fluent English.
- Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, including all buildings and the manufacturing areas
- Regularly lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly climb steps, stairs, or ladders
- Occasionally bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneel.
- Constantly communicate verbally and in writing (English) using a phone, texts, or other messaging
- Visual acuity to accurately identify, organize, estimate, and recognize differences or similarities; accurately distinguish colors.
- Use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards, and measurement instruments, and manually examine parts.
- Excessive noise (hearing protection required)
- Dust, smoke, fumes/vapors (occasionally)
- Extreme temperatures (occasionally)
- Hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, and other equipment used in a machine shop environment.
