Under general supervision, the Intelligence Analyst conducts detailed analysis of sensitive criminal activity data to support crime prevention and public safety efforts. This role involves identifying crime patterns, evaluating threats, and delivering actionable intelligence to guide strategic resource deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze criminal activity to identify trends, patterns, and links between individuals or groups.
- Research and assess potential threats related to public events or activities.
- Use intelligence platforms and real-time data systems to support investigations.
- Prepare reports, maps, dashboards, and visual presentations for leadership.
- Analyze digital communications and electronic data to support intelligence efforts.
- Compile and evaluate data from various sources to develop profiles and recommendations.
- Maintain intelligence records in compliance with regulations.
- May provide expert testimony in court.
Ideal Candidate:
A detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, experience in intelligence or crime analysis, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Information Technology, Applied Statistics, or a related field, combined with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a criminal justice, military or government intelligence agency; or in a business setting compiling data and analyzing findings and writing reports that indicate relationships between various data sets; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must pass a comprehensive background investigation to obtain and maintain required federal, state, and local government top security clearances.
